PS Photonox for Clean Surfaces and more – with the help of photocatalytic effects.

Photocatalysis is a natural reaction of light, water and oxygen. This process is accelerated by our catalyst PS-Photonox. Pollutants like NOx or VOC are converted at the photocatalytic surface into harmless substances like CO2 and H2O. In our accredited laboratory, tests can be carried out depending on the substrate and condition to ensure the maximum photocatalytic effect.

PS-Photonox is an ultra-fine TiO2 without pigment properties. It catalyzes the degradation of organic and inorganic molecules when irradiated with UV or UV-VIS radiation. It is a white powder and has hardly any coloring properties in the generally required amount. It is resistant to air, moderate temperatures and pH values between 3 and 14.

Photocatalytic TiO2 has specific properties and is different from the pigmented version. The morphology and properties of the ultrafine particles have been developed to achieve the best catalytic activity and to enable optimal incorporation into a variety of matrices.
Specific photocatalysts are developed by our partner Pigmentsolution GmbH for their use in paints, varnishes, cementbound materials direct applications to surfaces (e.g. on filter media for air treatment systems).

It can be used to break down dirt on surfaces such as soot or algae. Furthermore, it can also be used for air purification or air improvement in indoor areas. The fields of application are manifold – please contact us to learn more about this product!
